Description: This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today’s classrooms. Students can use either the dropdown menus for Current Events or Topics to easily locate relevant articles. TOPICsearch contains full text for over 105,000 articles from 1,622 diverse sources including international and regional newspapers, EBSCO’s unparalleled collection of periodicals, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information. This database provides full text for more than 1,550 publications. In addition to the full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for more than 1,650 journals. Topics covered include: Aging, AIDS, Alcohol, Computers, Crime, Drugs, Education, Energy, Ethics, Family, Health, Human Rights, Multiculturalism, National Debate, People, Religion, Sports, Women, Work, World Affairs, etc. Examples of publications offered in TOPICsearch include: Addiction, Adolescence, Adult Learning, Advertising Age, American Fitness, Billboard, Child Welfare, Christianity Today, Clinical Nursing Research, Criminal Justice Ethics, Daily Variety, Discover, Field & Stream, Financial Management, Foreign Affairs, Fortune, Geriatrics, Health, HR Magazine, InformationWeek, Journal of Family Issues, Women in Business, and many more.
